I'm going way back to the middle of spring. Maybe because we just had our first snow here and I'm trying to remember how beautiful Michigan is in the Spring? I had the good fortune of photographing the S family on a gorgeous spring day when the cherry trees were in full bloom. I drove past this grove of trees a few days before their session...and just knew that we had to go there. The spot felt idyllic. It seems like I must have done a lot of photoshop work on these images to get the vibrant colors. I didn't. This is what it actually looked like that day. Before we hung out at the orchard, we took a few shots by a red barn, too. Love the texture of old barns. Could shoot there all day.
Oh yeah. and it doesn't hurt to have stunning people to photograph, either. This session was in part to capture a family of 4 soon before they became a family of 5...so it had all the elements I adore. Family, small children, a beautiful pregnant belly, expectancy, mature love, patient parents, God's beautiful creation.

Thanks for making us your first post :). I will forever love and cherish these pictures! They are such a gift! I'm amazed at how much our family has changed since we took them and how much the girls have already grown up! I'm so glad I have this moment in time captured! Thank you!!
